About Britni Jade Laurich

Whether you're a real estate first-timer with no idea where to start, or have lived in your home for a long time and have no idea what it's current value may be, I'm here to help!

My love for real estate started when I was very small and spent my weekends strapped in the backseat of my parents' car while they window shopped for lake property. I spent a good part of my childhood growing up within the city limits of Detroit Lakes, MN where owning a lake home was a dream for many, including my family. Realtors, showings, open houses, and tours were always a part of our typical weekend.

While the real estate biz always intrigued me, the first time I thought seriously about becoming a real estate agent was in college. I moved to Minneapolis to attend the University of Minnesota and pursued a degree in Journalism with an emphasis in television broadcasting. The deeper I got into my classes, the more I realized how challenging breaking into the TV industry was and how rigid the schedules can be. I've always been more of a free spirit and really enjoy forging my own path in life, so I started researching the typical day of a Realtor and the seed was officially planted in the back of my mind.

After graduation, the first job I landed was in the marketing department at a huge home builder in the Twin Cities. Through this gig, I learned the ins and outs of the home building process as well as the home sales process, further cementing my interest in real estate.

A couple years in to my marketing job, I started to get antsy. My broadcast degree was pretty dormant, so I decided to give that world a whirl. After months of trying to break in to the industry, I finally landed a job at BOB FM 106.1 in the Twin Cities. I held the overnight on-air slot there for about a year, then moved in to the evening on-air slot for another year, and ended my tenure there as a personality on the BOB FM Morning Show. My experience at the radio station was unreal, and has completely changed who I have become today.

The decision to hang up my microphone was a tough one, but I've always felt so drawn to real estate. I'm newly married (as of July 2016!), and I really wanted to set up a more flexible life for my husband and I, as well for our future family. The timing was right and I couldn't be happier with the decision to plunge fully into real estate!
