What I love about Real estate: First, digging in with clients to get to the bottom of your motivation for making a move, listening to your “must haves”, learning about how you enjoy spending your time, what your goals are, and then finding that perfect property! I love being creative in the negotiating process and winning the deal for my clients. And, I love the challenge. Real estate transactions are complicated. No two days are the same in this career and whether I’m researching short term rental ordinances, or the best types of flooring for a client, I am always learning

A little history: After graduating from St. Olaf College with a degree in Psychology I worked with adolescents in the mental health field. When the facility lost its funding, I made a career move to do something a little less emotionally intense. After furthering my education, I started a small business doing body work (muscles and fascia, not cars and trucks 😊). Eventually I began teaching yoga and subletting office space to other independent therapists and practitioners. This career was very successful and served me well while my children were small. I still run this business part time.

I have three boys that keep me driven. As they’ve grown older and more independent, I’ve become hungry for new challenges. Enter real estate! The skills I’ve honed and the lessons I’ve learned over the course of operating a successful service-based business for almost 20 years have been invaluable in my success as a Real Estate Agent. Working through a clients’ health history and physical issues makes for a very intimate professional relationship. Working through a real estate transaction can be much the same! I’m here to listen to your needs and wants and to ensure that you have all the information you need to make sound and lucrative real estate decisions, and to guide you through the process every step of the way!

For Fun: Some of my favorite things to do in my free time are to watch my boys play sports, and to spend time with family and friends playing Euchre, sitting around a bon fire, trying new restaurants, or just visiting! I love to travel and experience new places and cultures. I enjoy almost anything outdoors, including biking, cross country skiing, running, kayaking and canoeing, and I love to hike and to play with our rescue dogs Hank and Mildred.
