About Jo Damhof CRS, GRI, CBR, Realtor, Legends Member

     I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Medical Technology.  During college years, I was elected local and national sorority presidents which gave me the opportunity to visit colleges and work with students around the country.

     I married my LHS sweetheart, Darrel Damhof, in 1971. We built out house in 1979 and raised both children in a great Plymouth neighborhood, Ferndale North. I have served on the Association Board in many positions including President.

     We have a son and daughter who attended Wayzata Schools.  They have both returned to MN after attending University of Montana in Missoula.  We have 3 granddaughters – 16, 3 and 1 year old.

     I worked for 24 years at the University Hospital Chemistry Lab – part time when our children were young.  The next 25 years and currently I have enjoyed helping people buy and sell homes as a Realtor with Edina Realty in Edina.  I’ve earned the CRS designation which is attained by less than 4% of agents nationally.  I was honored to be awarded the Heart of the Community Award by the Mpls Association of Realtors for my work in Real Estate and the community.

     Volunteering has been a real focus for me: at schools, kid’s teams & associations, church, and Junior League of Minneapolis where I served on the Board of Directors.  For 25, years I have been a member of the JLM sponsored choir - LeagueAires.  This is a dedicated group of women who sing at nursing homes, adult day-cares, special ed schools. We were thrilled to be asked to sing in the Green Room at The Whitehouse!  In recognition of my community service, the JLM selected me as their Volunteer of the Year!

     Darrel and I have traveled the county and Ireland enjoying golf in a spectrum of courses.  (Sure hate those pot bunkers!) We love visiting friends in many of those places.  In free time, you will find us relaxing on Lake Minnetonka, at Bowstring Lake and the ocean.
