Since 1981 Karen Baden built a successful business based on years of hard work on behalf of her clients, family, friends and referrals. Karen joined what was a small company with an offshoot office in Maplewood, a short bike ride away from her home. Karen became one of the top agents in the large office - and has remained one of the most well-respected.

Proudly partnering with her son Mathias Baden, our team is made up of Minnesota-licensed Realtors whose business spans the Twin Cities metro area, who work with buyers and sellers, and who sell all styles of housing.

Involved in church and school volunteering, Karen’s constant contact has often consisted of monthly newsletters and yearly personal Christmas letters. Referrals from family and friends started after a one-day sales pitch in ‘81. She began calling through her Rolodex – beginning at A and never making it to C, before word got around about her solid customer service and thorough work ethic. She reminds her clients – assures them – that buying a dream home can be fun, not stressful.

Mathias followed in the footsteps of a great mentor in 2017, after an enjoyable 17-year career in journalism. His enthusiasm, marketing savvy, and natural curiosity play well in the real estate field. Mathias’ ethical standards are impenetrable and his quest for knowledge unwavering.

Mathias has earned Rookie of the Year honors, and promptly joined Edina Realty’s prestigious President’s Circle. He’s a thorough researcher, attentive advocate, and killer-instinct teammate in your search for your next home. Mathias is a former volleyball coach, a food shelf volunteer, and an active Woodbury Heritage Society member and Woodbury Lions Club member.
