About Rebecca Widmer

I was born and raised on a family farm just outside of Norwood Young America, Minnesota where we had a dairy operation as well as hogs, steers and ran hundreds of acres for cash crop. It was a family operation, as my dad's parents (my grandparents) were also involved. Growing up on a farm was invaluable. I learned a strong work ethic and developed a true appreciation for the land. I participated in and loved sports all throughout my schooling while maintaining good grades and a part time job. I've always been a multitasker. 

After high school, I attended Winona State University where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology: Criminal Justice. Upon graduating, I took a position with the Minnesota Department of Corrections as a Probation & Parole Agent. I truly loved that job. I have a passion for helping people and seeing them succeed and I was able to help many do that; however, after seven years the reality was it was emotionally exhausting. As one can imagine, there are extreme high and lows associated with it at all hours of the day and night. At the time, I had already helped flip one house with some family members and had also bought my home as a foreclosure, where we completed an entire renovation ourselves. I loved houses... seeing how they were built, seeing how they could be transformed and just the many different styles. I made the decision to pursue my real estate license. I continued my full time position at the DOC while accomplishing that and continued to work both jobs for nearly six months until I built a real estate business I could sustain. I have never looked back and am so happy to be here!

I am the mother of two young children who I love more than anything. I love sports and being active. My favorite place to be is outside in the warm sunshine.  I'm not afraid of hard work or getting dirty and I rarely sit still. Real estate fits me because  it encompasses everything I love - helping others and educating them about houses (which I love) and the real estate process. Buying and selling homes is not something people do every day. I understand it can be stressful, overwhelming and intimidating. You can count on me to be by your side to walk you through this process from start to finish. I pride myself in being accessible for you and to be your shoulder along the way.
