About Susan Melbye

I was born in St. Paul, grew up in Golden Valley, and have lived in the same house in the Bronx Park neighborhood in St. Louis Park since 1992. Before real estate, I was a special education teacher for 15 years, working at the Carver-Scott Educational Coop in Chaska for thirteen years, and two years at Central Middle School in Wayzata. I thoroughly enjoyed my years as a teacher, but felt ready for a new challenge as my own kids were growing up.

In 2005, I got my real estate license and joined Edina Realty. I love that Edina Realty was founded by a woman, and I discovered that the great agents in my office built their business on values that I found very important to me. Honesty, sincerity and positivity are traits that I bring to every transaction. My clients know that they are my number one priority, and that I bring 15 years of real estate experience and knowledge to guide them. Referrals from happy clients is the heart of my business, and I look forward to meeting each new client and starting our adventure together!

My family includes my husband Eric, two daughters, Emily and Abby, one cat and our hilarious French Bulldog, Pierre! I love St. Louis Park and all this community has to offer, a strong sense of neighborhood, excellent schools, many parks and trails, and close proximity to downtown, Uptown and the lakes. I am a big fan of St. Louis Park and love to help buyers and sellers in this area.

That said, I also have a sense of adventure, and really look forward to helping buyers search far and wide for the house of their dreams! I work all over the Twin Cities, and have helped find homes from Waverly to White Bear Lake, and from Stacy to Shakopee.  

When I'm not helping folks with real estate, I love to garden, spend time at our cabin north of Grand Rapids, walk Pierre and have coffee with friends. Give me a call, I would love to get to know you and help you next!
