About Tim Lillquist

Being an avid outdoorsman, I was first introduced to the Iron Range by my wife, Leigh, in 1997 and immediately fell in love with the area. So when the opportunity presented itself to relocate here with Leigh’s work, the decision was an easy one for us. We sold our home in Golden Valley, Minnesota, sold our island property on the east end of Lake Vermilion, and spent the next 10 months searching for a property we could call home.  It was during this search that I realized my next career move was to Real Estate. 

I grew up in Fergus Falls, Minnesota the oldest of four kids. I spent my youth exploring the lakes and woods of Ottertail County and in between playing any organized sport that would have me. Hockey, baseball, and an opportunity for a quality education led me to the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. While at UND, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and A Master's Degree in Business Administration.

I spent 24 years in sales and management for a Corporate 100 food wholesaler in St Paul/Minneapolis.  Starting at the ground floor as a sales rookie and moving up the ranks into management, I am a believer in the importance of building client relationships with complete and accurate information, timeliness, follow through, and honesty. 

I have acquired a hearty appreciation for good food and good company.  I enjoy gathering with friends and family every fall at our hunting cabin south of Hoyt Lakes. I love dogs, fishing, hunting, hiking, snowshoeing, woodworking, spending quality time with our two grown children and our extended family. Leigh and I found that special property shortly after moving up here and happily call Isle of Pines on Lake Vermilion home.
