I grew up in the St. Louis Park and Hopkins area. I have lived in Minneapolis and Saint Paul for the last 30 plus years. I love being a part of thediverse metro community and all it offers!
I am a life long learner. I studied at the University of Minnesota, St. Clous State University and the University of St. Thomas. I taught elementary school in Lewiston, MN for 2 years and then taught school in the Minneapolis Publics schools for 32 years.
My positions included elementary classroom teacher, District Mentor, Preservice/Inservice Coordinator for the MCGFDA (Multicultural Gender Fair, Disablitiy Aware Laboratory Demonstration Site) and Supervisor for student teachers, through the University of Minnesota and Metropolitan State University.
All of my teaching experiences have prepared me to be a more well rounded and effective real estate agent.
I have one son that is active in the NE Minneapolis art community. Public Funcionary is the name of the organization and they have 5 studios in the Northrup King Building. Making his mother extremely prooud.
I am also a big dog lover and advocate for the wellness and safety of all pets. I have had the honor to have had two loved dogs in my adult life. Duke, was a Chocolate Lab, passed at 13 1/2 years and Ollie, a Golden Retriever, that passed at 14 1/2 years. I am in the process of becoming a volunteer for RAGOM and always looking for the next Sommers puppy.
I am in the process of redefining my business and branding. I have recently added two designations to my real estate licence, SERS and AHWD. (Senior Real Estate Specialist and At Home With Diversity)
Since I am in the my senior years, my goal is to learn as much as I can about the inclusiveness and availabilty of the housing community for seniors, in order to guide them through the selling of their home and to provide an easy transition to their next home.
I work with both Buyers and Sellers, young and old! The teacher in me wants to keep educating buyers and sellers!
