About Nokomis Minneapolis, MN

Located at the southern edge of Minneapolis, the Nokomis community is made up of 11 smaller neighborhoods: Diamond Lake, Ericsson, Field, Hale, Keewaydin, Minnehaha, Morris Park, Northrop, Page, Regina, and Wenonah. Nokomis is known for its abundance of park land and outdoor recreation. The active community boasts Lake Nokomis, which offers beaches, bike paths and softball fields. Minnehaha Park is another outdoor recreation hub within the Nokomis community. The 193-acre park includes walking and bike trails, picnic areas, and a 53-foot waterfall, Minnehaha Falls. Along with its natural features, the Nokomis community boasts a wealth of retail stores, restaurants, and cafes; including the 5-8 Club which is home to the local favorite burger, the Juicy Lucy.
