About Powderhorn Minneapolis, MN

Powderhorn is a community on Minneapolis’ south side, and is made up of eight smaller neighborhoods: Bancroft, Bryant, Corcoran, Lyndale, Powderhorn Park, Standish, Whittier, and Central. The light-rail METRO Blue Line is easily accessible to the community, conveniently connecting Downtown Minneapolis with the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and Mall of America.

The Powderhorn community is known for its abundance of restaurants and retail stores. “Eat-Street” is a section along Nicollet Avenue with many popular restaurants including: The Copper Hen Cakery & Kitchen, Quang Restaurant, World Street Kitchen, and Glam Doll Donuts. Every year, Powderhorn residents look forward to the annual May Day Parade, which is more of a play in motion, and is put on by the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre.
