Summit-University is a community west of Downtown St. Paul, and makes up the city’s 8th district. The area contains several quaint neighborhoods boasting lots of charm. Residents enjoy dining and shopping at the many popular restaurants and shops along Selby Avenue. Some local favorite restaurants include the Happy Gnome, Revival and Moscow on the Hill. Summit-University is famously known as the community that F. Scott Fitzgerald grew up in, although he is generally associated with the Summit Hill neighborhood where he later lived.
