A distinctive neighborhood in Minneapolis, Kenwood contains the city’s largest concentration of expensive homes. Many of the victorian, mediterranean, colonial, tudor, and regency style mansions sit along tree-lined parkways and the Lake of the Isles. This neighborhood within the Calhoun Isles community, contains parks, lakes, public tennis courts, and playgrounds which residents can enjoy all year round. Bike enthusiasts can enjoy the Kenilworth Trail, which is part of the Chain of Lakes Byway, as well as the Kenwood trail, which meets the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway. One of the more famous characteristics of the Kenwood neighborhood is the “Mary Tyler Moore” home which was used in filming multiple seasons of the show.
