About North Loop Minneapolis, MN

The fastest growing neighborhood in Central Minneapolis, the North Loop is a hip area in the heart of the Warehouse Historic District. Named for the area’s old trolley line, it is bordered by the Mississippi River on the east and is located just north of Downtown West. The North Loop was once an industrial area home to warehouses and factories, and now it is booming with acclaimed restaurants like Spoon and Stable and The Bachelor Farmer, as well as breweries such as Modist Brewing Company and InBound Brewco. The area features a mix of new construction and historic buildings, with old industrial spaces being transformed into high-end apartment housing and hotels. Residents can catch a game at Target Field, the Twins’ home ballpark. North Loop is rated as a top bicycling city, and boasts easy access to public transportation as well as Interstates 394 and 94.
