Your guide to Northeast Park neighborhood, Minneapolis, MN

About Northeast Park, Minneapolis, MN

Named for its location, Northeast Park sits on the northern outskirts of Minneapolis. The area is divided into three sections: a western, eastern and a central shopping district. The western section is a largely residential area comprised of gorgeous restored Victorian homes and duplexes. Many of these houses were built around the turn of the century. Northeast Park’s central section includes the Quarry, a large regional shopping center, while the eastern area contains Hillside Cemetery and Honeywell International manufacturing. Offering fast access to downtown Minneapolis, via I-35, Northeast Park has recently revitalized its art, music and restaurant scene. The Jim Lupient Water Park is the newest water park in the neighborhood and boasts a large pool, with three water slides and a log water walk - great for kids.
