About Bottineau, Minneapolis, MN

Named after renowned explorer, Pierre Bottineau, the Bottineau neighborhood is within close proximity to downtown and located in the center of the Northeast Arts District. The nearby parks, library and community garden sit intertwined with restaurants and bars - making it a great neighborhood for the entire family. Bordered by University Ave and the Mississippi river, this neighborhood is home to many Victorian and Folk American homes built before the second World War. You will find a mix of housing, studios and offices - all results of industrial spaces, which artists first began converting in the 1980's and still continues today. The local recreation center with a skate park, playing fields, a wading pool, picnic areas and a community garden are among the many public facilities you will find in Bottineau.
