About Columbia Park, Minneapolis, MN

 

Located in Northeast Minneapolis, the Columbia Park neighborhood (established in 1894) received its name on the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' first voyage to America. This neighborhood is home to a number of amenities including a 180 acre park, archery range, dog run, trails for biking or cross country skiing and much more. Columbia Park is a perfect neighborhood for families of all ages. Columbia Golf Course, which is the second oldest in the city (founded in 1919), is an 18 hole Par 71, spanning 150 acres. It is home to a state of the art learning center, golf shop, locker room, and restaurant and is open to the public seven days a week. Columbia Park is bordered by Central Avenue and the Mississippi river, offering industrial surroundings with tucked away residential areas and featuring Tudor and Colonial style homes built in the 40's, 50's and 60's.
